Umm, come over the the Orange side. At SNI I average $1.65 on all miles I put on my truck per month. Some loads pay alot more, some a bit less, that's the average. Not "paid" miles, hub miles. I get 65% of the load + FSC. (That $1.65 is my take of the load pay and that's just an average, like I said, a lot of the loads pay much better.) I don't even worry about miles, I look at revenue per day. I pick my loads off the company load board, so I can plan myself out for a week or more at a time. I go where I want. As for Florida, good rates going in, getting out will be a kick in the nuts. I don't go there. I could never imagine having someone else book loads for my truck. It's my business, my responsibility. Just sayin.

I forgot to add in: free PrePass (good company safety record, stopped at about 1 of 30 open scales.) Free permits - not only that, company provides fresh permit book each year, and sends anything to me directly after that. No time spent for permits, either. Free Sirius/XM connection. (basic package) My radio. Free annual inspection and sticker. I'll think of more stuff, it's quite a valuable package. I want to be fully independent, and I will be fully independent because I want to add trucks after I'm debt free and know more about it. Leasing doesn't provide enough gross income for the truck, for the driver, and of course, for me! For now, earning and learning are enough.

$2.50 highly doubt it, maybe like $2.00 tops on all miles

$2 a mile all miles or $2 a mile loaded miles?
