Con-Way Truckload Drivers: What's Your 20? (2014 edition)

Update: I’ve been out about 4 weeks now and the only 10 hour breaks and very tight trips have all finally ended. Also, haven’t been put on the night shift either. I feel like I died and went to heaven.

Don’t know if it is true or not, but some longtime Conway drivers told me they do that a lot to new drivers to see if you can handle the job and to see if you will stay. I guess I passed the trial.

 

They do that to new drivers because you are cheaper labor...give it a couple pay grades and revisit us talking about all your local bs.

I got the most miles my first winter then phheeeeeewwwwwwww booom 5k less over the quarter on top pay.

FM is trying to look good for you don't be surprised to hear "I always give you the long ones man"

 

I've been looking at a new truck camper to take with us on vacations or camping trips. The list has been narrowed down to 2 choices. Now the hard part. Deciding which one. Both campers sleep 10 people a long with a King size bed for the wifey and myself.

 

Jealous of that Lowgear. Have fun with it!

 

Can I come walk around in my underwear in it and sit in your recliner?

good job out of you ToT...it should level out.I've been out 7 weeks now, have one bad week one good week and the rest are average.

don't crank on your manager when you have a bad week...it levels out and you should end up with 10,000 or better for the month...look at the month not the week

 

Waco tonight and heading down to Corpus Christi in the morning for a noon unload...I'll leave tonight get down there before all the traffic and should have a 10 hour break in by the time I'm empty

 

I wear a bucket that's the slang we call it.
The hockey style mask matte black. Don't like shiny stuff. Steel matte and black plz add in red rims and we are good to go!

Surprised I don't see more trucks with colored rims. Wonder if they would fine you somehow for that.....prob xD


Made chicken noodle soup trying to cut down on salty stuff and didnt add any but ended up peppering the thing to death instead. Neeeeeddddssss salt!!!!

That salt water in Daytona does wonders for healing open wounds. Sure it burns but it was yummy to lick it. Gonna go look at prius's tomorrow. Guy claims I can get some under 10k less than 60k miles at this one auction in Ohio regularly. Guess we'll see.

 

Preplan corpus Christi to Houston to Albuquerque...3100 plus...nice week
