What does each one of them offer as far as pay and benefits? What are their safety records looking like?

You will not get home daily with Cypress. There's not too many OTR companies in Florida that will get you home every weekend, daily is another thing altogether.
Since you're in Jacksonville check Rinaudo Enterprises as well for flatbed/heavy haul. -
Saddle Creek is hiring in Jacksonville.
I am working for them in Lakeland. I have been here 3 or 4 weeks now and still working on learning all the little quarks, but so far so good.
Pay is ok, and will go up over time, and with seniority, since you have to stay a while to get the best daily runs. So far it is like 800-1000 per week gross. But I think I could do better if I got on a different shift, or really pushed for the short extra runs that can add up at the end of the week.
Everyone starts out at the same pay scale, goes up without cap over time. Home every day. Oh, and it is 5 days a week.albert l Thanks this. -
Of those, from what I have been told, Florida Rock. Tank division.

As a local fuel hauler in Jacksonville, I say steer clear of Florida Rock. I would recommend Eagle Transport, GATE Petroleum, Southeastern Freight Lines if you want local work. Cypress is good if you're wanting OTR.

I worked for CCC before and I don't think you want $300 checks a week! I will give you an advice though, CCC had the Anheuser Busch Budweiser account pulling vans to beer distributors around Florida and Georgia and Werner and Gateway Transportation of Georgia took the account. I would recommend you Gateway.

I deliver Containers from Port of Tampa to Saddlecreek in Lakeland and load from Saddlecreek to Tropical in Palm Beach going to the Caribbean and yes, he might get a good gig there. Those trucks are everywhere and they run on liquefied gas.

D mosley is who id pick might not be home everynight but good equipment and money.
-
They are CGN Compressed Natural Gas Century. But yea, they do not seem too bad so far, and getting newer equipment regularly. Just have to keep on some of the drivers to get things fixed when they find it lol. That would be very helpful. For a home every day 5 day a week job it is not bad. I am having to work weekends for now, till they get in more new guys in Lakeland. Once they get a few more I can swap to 1 day per weekend, then eventually to Monday- Friday. Not sure how it would work in Jacksonville, they have less drivers, so more chance to move around faster.
