Uh, math????
-
That comes out to the equivelent of a $1.00 per hour raise. That's not a bad raise at all. Especially when hourly companies in (and out of) the trucking industry often times only dole out maybe a 50 cent per hour raise.joseph1135 Thanks this.
-
ok I will be the wet blanket 2mph is not a raise the pickup and drops are still in the same place and that is not going to get anyone more miles
S M D Thanks this. -
70 and 75mph are actually the majority of max speeds throughout the country. 65mph is pretty much the Northeast only. In any case truck should be able to exceed the speed limit by at least 5mph at an absolute minimum.Numb Thanks this.

don't worry one of those 65 MPH trucks will be in the left lane grossing 79k going up a grade trying to pass a Prime truck.
Happens every time -
whos driving at top speed 11 hours a day?
c'mon..
if anything you'll save a few seconds getting to the Flying Peelot to find a parking space.T_TRUCKER. Thanks this. -
I know. It was basically one of those "on paper" statements. The person I quoted was making it sound like a dollar per hour raise wasn't that good, when in reality it WOULD be better than most hourly pay companies would give.

Saw an advertisement in craigslist for this company. It said 84k per year and .51 cpm plus.
Are they for real? -
Having a faster truck is about so much more than the little extra money you describe. Like not having everyone crawl up your ### all day long. Being able to somewhat keep up with the flow of traffic. Slow trucks are a safety hazard, without a doubt.Woobie Thanks this.
