That's a joke and people who work for them should go on strike. But instead they are hiring rookies and low budget ### people who believes that's good pay. Lets be real here, what company offers L/P to people straight out of training. The reason is because they want you to believe that you starting a business and to keep you over the road for weeks at a times and that's the only way to get drivers to go OTR.Raiderfanatic Thanks this.

It's funny how people can not figure out that when the company you lease from tells you what loads to take, what route to take and how fast you can drive..... You are not in business, you are an employee footing the bills at an inflated cost.

Maybe if you are pulling a van. But we pull pneumatic and before FSC is figured in, we're getting 1.92 for every mile. I would never consider pulling anything for 2 dollars per loaded mile. One load we get offered pays 2.25 for loaded miles. Actually, it pays by the ton but mileage figures out to 2.25. It kills me to take it but sometimes you have to, to get towards a better load.
Like I said, I don't pull a van/reefer. I did one weekend to help these guys out and said never again if that is all that it pays. Then seeing some of the ads where companies will pay O/Os 95 cents plus FSC just blows my mind. How in the hell can someone run for that and survive. Even 3,000 miles a week means the truck only makes 2850. And how many guys actually get 3,000 miles a week anymore? Wow....Need 4,000 just to make money at that rate.
Anyhow....smhskyviper73 Thanks this. -
You can't begin to compare being a company driver running for 35 cents to an O/O running for 90 cents a mile. That's ridiculous to think it is even in the same galaxy. If you think you can make money while owning a truck and paying for EVERYTHING while only making 90 cpm.....well, I'll just shut up then......Momma always said if you have nothing nice to say.....
