One other thing, download the Illinois CDL handbook from the DMV website. Read through it. Then start taking the practice tests offered here on truckers report and the following link. The crist site I am linking is almost word for word the test you will take at the DMV. I got 100% on all parts except air brakes where I missed 2. Get to the point where you can answer these questions and get 100% on all of them. And you'll be set.

almost to Henderson's cdl school.

Thanks I appreciate that

Sweet... I've been reviewing some study guides from a few other sites like "The Trucker's Truth" site and the quiz here... I've gotten most of them, but still just not near passing. The pre-trip inspection looks like a piece of cake though.
-
Its all a piece of cake as long as you half half a brain. Just keep doing those tests over and over and over u till you get all the answers right. The backing up is a bit rough at first but once you get the feel of it, it becomes second nature. Just remember to line your trailer tires up with the line or cone before you start cutting your steer tires.Ga Dawg141 and mje Thank this.

If a student wanted a single room and was willing to pay for it out of his or her own pocket, would it be O.K. to do so?
-
They assign one person per room. Good thing about this program, is that there aren't many students. My class only had 5. The class below me has 6. We lose a lot of people in the first week. Drug tests. People are so stupid. They come here with dirty pee. Or they are drunks and can't stop drinking.mje and Ga Dawg141 Thank this.

Is Henderson Trucking owned by Prime or a subsidiary of Prime?

From the looks of things, it appears that an individual can both be trained at and stay at Henderson Trucking for many years to come, providing that the individual does his or her job to the best of his or her ability.
Earl Henderson Trucking really sounds like a decent company to work for.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!VeganTrucker and Ga Dawg141 Thank this. -
Awesome post! I've recently applied and I am already talking to a recruiter. So far, it sounds like a awesome company to work for and I hope I will get on with them! (Hopefully they will hire us "fluffy" guys
