So i show up and the Shipper says, "You're kinda overkill with that trailer. Is that a beam?"
It's not really that big...actually it's kinda little.
They said the crane weighed 55tons, oops they meant a 55ton crane!
It only weighs 75000lbs. It doesn't happen often, I'm actually UNDER 150,000 Gross! -
Haha, so what's that mean now that I went backwards to a mechanical engine and a set of sticks???
Ma and Pa always said I was born 50 years too late...catalinaflyer, tsavory and truckdad Thank this. -
Spied this beautiful piece of machinery along I-5 north of Sacramento on my way to Ritchie Bros in Dunnigan. On the way back I just had to get a pic. I was thinking how nice this machine would look on "someones" NEW Trailking 11 axle unit..... The owner told me that many years ago this old workhorse suffered what the operator called "dipper stall" right in the middle of the dip cycle. It was put out to pasture. Literally.
Sleepy68, passingthru69 and tsavory Thank this. -
There used to be a place in Ohio that had their own pit. They made brick and that's all they used at the time.
I took one in to them from Md. It was a dead unit.
This guy would buy them, fix them or use them for parts and then work them in their pits
