Gee,what happened over a few months time, to change this guy from "My trainer was a very special guy, who earned every cent of whatever he receives for training new drivers for the company.", "I can say that The trainer I shared a cab with for two weeks is truly a credit to the Comcar organization", to Attilla, the Hun? I also noticed the equipment went from "well maintained", to being the largest pieces of unsafe junk on the roads. Which is it? Just curious....

Hey someone referred me to CCC. Its about 1 hour and 15 minutes from me as well. Its a long drive but the pay sound good.
-
very interesting and informative post, Jem. No ccc out in the southwest though

You said it all quite well. I worked for CTL out of Mulberry in 1997. I tried to hire on at CCC first, but they would hire me cause I had a DWI in 1972, so they told me to go across the fence to CTL. Go figure, both are Commcar companies ????

I understand that they pay by the load. How many loads a week do you average and what is the approximate weekly pay. Also, do they offer tuition reimbursement and how long do you have to be employed to get health insurance? Thanks for the information that you may provide.
Jax's Attack -
they do pay tution remembursement except the catch is 1,000 for every year you stay with them until its paid for. which means you might as well make your payments yourself and enjoy that money on your anniversary date. yes i heard its 21% a load i'll let you know more once i get out there on Monday. i think its good. my husband works for a local company too. so we both are in every day and look forward to passing each other in the wind. good luck

Not sure if Jax is still there,
it HAS been over 2 years !!!!!! -
lol thanks...i guess that is one detail i need to read before i post huh?

I wish they paid better. If they did, I would never consider another company. I love the people I work with.

I used to work there. The pay is god awful, there's drivers bringing home $2-300 a week if they're lucky. True it's a local job, but man it really sucked. And the trucks were governed at 57 mph. Slowest trucks in the country. I've never seen a slower truck than mine was. They have horrible customers such as Anheuser Busch (union company) that takes forever to get anything done, your loads are almost always loaded late, and you have to sit around for a couple hrs before they even think of paying you. I was at a publix warehouse for nearly 6 hrs after my appt time before they unloaded me. Any company who agrees to serve customers that are that useless isn't worth anyone's time.
