back before my experiance with the joplin tornado i slowed down to watch a small tornado comimg toward us 81 south of concordia ks. and quickly found out how fast they move , when it occured to my feeble mind that the dang thing was catching me i stood on the throttle and barely out ran it .
i dont hang around to watch tornadoes anymore .

Speaking of Tornadoes, TX, OK, and KS is going to be at risk for severe storms for the better part of 5/5 thru 5/10 and perhaps beyond, every afternoon. A rather large area is considered a large area of interest, from About Abilene over to Dallas, up to KC, over to Dodge and down to Amarillo, and back to Abilene, for an unusual long number of days. The later part of the forecast window, the area may shift slightly east.

Saturday, 5/9 could be the first true "widespread outbreak" day of the 2015 season. So consider yourself warned.

LOL ! I tried that one years ago with a company truck. The response was: "I'm pretty sure we would have heard about a twister in Manhattan !"

Thanks for the memory ! LOL
