I want to get along with the other drivers that are taking their rest stops and sleep berth time. What do u do to keep from getting harrassed by another Driver cuz ur refer is waking them up? U can't always park on the other side of the lot away from anyone else. I start pulling a refer at the end of the month and I know the noise from these things can be aggrevating!!!!:biggrin_25518:

    Nothing really

When I could and only when I could I would nose in.. but only if I knew I would be able to get out..

The other was if I could I would back my truck up a little father or if I had room stick my nose out just a little, this way the reefer was not right at thier sleeper.. I usually drove at night so its not like I had a real big issue in finding open areas...

drivers who moan about this are just bored and have nothing better to do. they need to get a life and realize it's trucking. but if your that concerned you could always pull into parking spots nose first and that way they don't hear it.

I always park near the back with the other pro reefer runners... Two advantages to this.. 1) farther walk to the building, and that = excersise. 2) You are away from the nightly truckstop follys, and generally your front end of your truck is safe from the Swifties and other noobs doing the backing special olympics...

We always try park next to another reefer, if there is a shortage of space we take whatever space is available.

carry disposable earplugs and hand them out.

really, aside from being considerate when there are many spaces for you to choose from, you are working just like everyone else.

I really get ticked when a whole parking lot is open and the reefer parks right beside me.. even completely ignoring pull throughs!! I make a show of moving my truck, and then get on with my life.

not everyone will treat u like crap because of the reefer, i hope.

I don't pull one anymore. And I try to avoid parking by one if possible. ;)

But I'm not about to whine about another driver pulling next to me with one. That's just completely stupid IMO.

Park where you have to. We all need to rest. And, if your reefer is bothering them that bad. They can fire their truck up, and drown it out. That's what I do when they're louder than normal.

Now...if you have a reefer with a bad muffler. I'm gonna be p#####d.
