I'm looking to get in touch with any driver who works or has worked at Fuel Delivery Services. They are headquartered out of Stockton, CA and have terminals all over California. They seem like a great company but I wanted to speak directly with any driver who can tell me first-hand what the work environment is like. It might be the opportunity I am looking for.

Yeah? I am seriously considering the San Jose location on commercial street. You know any of those folks over there ?

What kind of hours would you work there ? Please don't say 16 a day haha...

What kind of health benefits do they have? Kaiser??

Is dispatch out of the terminal you work at or is it all in Stockton ?

    What's a typical day like ?

I dont know anyone out of San Jose. 10-12 hours everyday, 3-5 loads per day. middle of the week off when you first start.
Medical is blue cross, decent plan but expensive for a family 750 per month I thinks its expensive anywhere nowadays.
You will make 60-75k per year here. Dispatch is out of stockton.

    moloko Thanks this.

I'm really happy here, I have been here a year and we are growing like crazy.
You get your shift dispatched in the morning, and you only talk to dispatch to confirm the load will fit. They leave you alone all day which I love,
They have a 401k plan and you start accruing PTO right out the gate.

22 per hour for day shift and 24 per hour for nights in San Jose. We also have a safety bonus 1$ per hour as long as you dont make any mistakes, and a chance to get a performance bonus up to 2$ per hour if your revenue is high.

    moloko Thanks this.

Nice! That's actually a live able wage in the bay area. I might have many, many more questions for you. I'm used to a union environment but this kind of money could convince me to make the switch.

Do you have a set start time and schedule every day?

I also heard to an auto shift fleet. Is that true?

What does the sacramento terminal pay by the way ?

    Thanks

Hey youngster! Not trying to blow you up with messages but any word on the pay at the Sacramento terminal after training? Also I was trying to figure out if their insurance is an HMO or a PPO? Maybe I'll see you out there soon :)
