Could anyone tell me the model or anything on this truck. I know that it is an 88 Peterbilt. Any pros and cons about them. I am looking to buy it from my employer. Thanks!

Maybe a '78? It's a 352 Peterbilt. Not sure what year the 362 came out but the 352 was long gone by 1988.

    OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.

Drove a 1983 362...this looks like a 1978 as LongFLD said. other than paint it reminds me of the Peterbilt Patriot I drove at Machinery Hauling, it was a 1976.

Doing a little bit of research through google images (as accurate as that can be) looking at the similarities and differences of the 352 and the 362, and one thing that stood out to me was the space under the headlights coming up to the grill. 362's just have a big open gap. 352's have a kind of fancy angle to them. Most 362's have a full windshield with 3 wipers. But they did come with the option of a split windshield with 2 wipers.
The 362 came out in 1981 I believe, and it replace the 352.

Is that truck to be used as a working truck?
    Or just a hobby project?

The 362 I posted a pic of is the one I drove for Pop at Machinery among all the other trucks he had, the 352 he had was a good truck too. If I had either one today in good shape it wouldn't bother me to head done the road in it, as long as I knew everyghing was up to snuff on it, remember what your looking at is an older truck. How many miles are on it, has it had good service, what do you know about it? Are just a few questions to ask yourself if planning on heading out on the road working it. They at least are not as noisy as a Freightliner Cabover with all the plastic dash coming apart, of course it somewhat depends on the treatment it has had too. Keep us updated, be good to see some old iron out pulling freight.

The truck will mostly a hobby truck, but will be put to work every now and then. I don't think its a 352, but a 282. Its only has 2 axles (1 steer and 1 drive). As far as mileage, this is what the guy sent me.

So new information on the truck. The guy found the registration. It is a 1980, for model it has TK (which doesn't surprise me at all) but the description is 352S86. So if I had to make a guess, I would say it's a cut down 352. Also, he said that when it was parked, it ran really really good and had just passed a DOT inspection.

You ask what engine and trans it had? If the cab was tilted forward a lot of folks here could identify the engine but.....
