Was looking at Mack's and was wondering if its possible to run side exhausts on older non Rawhide models like this one.

And have it look like this one

Obviously the fuel tanks are different. There also seems to be a cutout where the sleeper and cab meet. Wonder if there is enough clearance though underneath. Was also wondering if the new toolboxes/steps fit on the older ones and have the tanks be pushed back and remove the steps on it.
Other than that what other differences are there between the old Mack 613 and the Volvo/Mack 613 aesthetic wise??
Old CH613 vs New 613 differences

its do able that pic of the raw hide looks like a 06 or 07 thats when they first came out still had e7 s and the same cab dates back to the late 80's only diffrence is the dash 08 and up they made the dog house longer for the mp8 and gave it a volvo kinda dash look
jdiesel3406 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the response, what details did you see in that blue one that let you know its a 06-07?
I love the looks of the Rawhide but not the emissions. I have always liked the idea of having a set forward axle CH with mid rise sleeper and run the exhaust through the side while still running a mechanical or early Etech engine. -
air tank set up when they started putting mp8 s in they became pinnacles and also used the 3 small volvo air tank set up
if you would crawl under the blue one I'm pretty sure the exhaust will look like a w900 or 9900 Ih 5" off the turbo going to a belly muffler with dual outlets 4" for clearance around the cab that bell back out to 5 or 6" at the topLast edited: May 14, 2015

Thanks for the input, much appreciated!

They've been putting side stacks on the CH/CL and Visions around here right from 2000. (not factory...dealer.)
Pretty easy to do.jdiesel3406 Thanks this. -
10/4 good to know

Sorry I can't tell you what parts are required but I do know the filler panel between the cab and bunk comes off and stays off. So it looks kinda unfinished if you are really looking behind the stack (most guys here used straight pipes with no shields.) Then obviously you need the brackets and pipes.
I do know everything was available through Mack dealer and there was no major modifications or fabricating.
Like I said, lots of guys around here did it after the first time they saw that original yellow Rawhide that the dealer in British Columbia Canada created, then Mack copied.jdiesel3406 Thanks this. -
that and you can build it cheaper than mack charges for the package on a new truck
jdiesel3406 Thanks this.
