A bit of advice here... Not all dealers have a tech that knows this transmission well enough to quickly diagnose and quickly repair issues. If you expect repairs to take place in 2 hours or less, and cost $100 or less I suggest you call ahead and make sure they have someone there who fluently knows the component. I also recommend that if you own a Pete, you take it to a Pete dealer, or, if you own a Volvo, you take it to a Volvo dealer. No one knows your truck better than the dealer of your make. Problems arise and repair bills get expensive quick when you take your KW to the Freightliner dealer for something like this. Now time is wasted finding wire diagrams and tracing wires by blind luck by someone who has never dealt with this problem in a foreign truck before. Contrary to what many believe, trucks are not all the same.

Thanks, Heavyd for your response, I did take it to the kw dealer in Fontana ca, they had it for almost 2 weeks and all they changed was the oil pressure sensor and according to them they checked all the components related to a low voltage code (37) and they told me everything was normal, I spoke to road ranger and they said that based on the service activity report ran by kw,all of the components on the tranny were good and they thought it was something related to the engine not communicating with the tranny. I don't know what to do, I love my truck it runs great except when it has this issue.

In any truck I have worked on, you can never fully inspect 100% of the wiring and there always seems to be that one connector you can never find because it is buried somewhere. Sometimes simply running all new power and ground harness, or datalink wiring is all that is needed.

You suggest i change the harnes?
-
Wiring is, and always be the weak link between components. Wiring is a main cause of intermittent problems and why it will test good today and act up tomorrow. You may not need a complete new harness. I would start with powers and grounds first.
azcardnlz Thanks this. -
Thanks, i will start with that.
