It wasn't on their website. It was a flyer posted at Worksource. Interstate posted a flyer stating they train, just as I stated above, but after the first week they decided not to pay anyone. The teacher, who is an Interstate trucker himself (as well as a licensed teacher) said they aren't paying because they have a lack of funding. Also, since my husband was the only one who showed up for class friday they sent him home instead of teaching him. Again, no one showed up today so class was yet again cancelled and the teacher said since no one is showing up class is cancelled until further notice because he's not going to waste his time, which I don't blame him. My husband has called the actual company and he keeps getting that they know nothing about why the class is cancelled and they are working on the payment (again supposedly since they tend to lie). What is the point in having a training school when the teacher and the company won't provide training because only one person shows up. It's like telling a child going to school they aren't allowed to learn because they are the only student in class. Bet that would be a different situation.

Just as often, people cannot read or listen and insert their own agenda into the process and expect things they are not entitled to.MidwestResident and Dinomite Thank this.

Your best bet would be for your husband to stop looking for someone else to pay for his education. If he wanted to be a doctor or a lawyer would he expect to show up at Harvard and collect a paycheck while he was in training?
Education is an investment in your own future....the best education requires some sacrifice on the students part as well.MidwestResident Thanks this. -
There are a few companies that pay you while training for your cdl. They are bigger companies. Roehl in Wisconsin pays you, and knight transportation has schools all over, they also pay you. Both places I believe pay weekly as well.

Swift will pay you during training. At least, I know they did at one point. Whatever you and he decide, stop wasting time at Interstate and find a better company.

I don't get this, if there was an issue, with the number of companies out there willing to train people, then why worry about what happened there, move on and apply to others.

Swift knight and roehl only pays after your done with the cdl class and once your with your mentor. I've never seen one company pay during the cdl

Knight pays you while you're getting your cdl. I'm currently with knight learning at the range to get my cdl and I get paid every week. As far as I know roehl and I think millis also pay you.
MidwestResident and Ketchikan baby Thank this.
