Hey Pete, I was parked at the dead end in the back of the office park. No sign posted there. I saw the signs you were talking about. It did work out. Checked in at 4 am (an hour early), got out of there at 10am. At the Pilot in Amarillo TX, load not ready but got trailer washout and bobtailed back. Load going to Emporia KS. Then back to the yard where they will fly me back to Dallas to get my truck on Monday. We will see.

I hate to say it but with today's young workforce it doesn't matter the quality of the training most of them expect to be handed everything without putting anything into it. There will always be a shortage of quality drivers for that reason and for the reasons you stated as well.

In the meantime, I'm still waiting on that Millenium Falcon... :)

For a change, everything went as planned. 1500 miles this weekend. Now if I can finish the week out as strong.

Didn't want to bring that subject up as it is part of another thread.

Ah the good old Corrilian YT1300 that is alway ready to fall apart. And wow I just show how much of a Sci-Fi geek I am:biggrin_25523:. And you may have heard but they are making more movies. Different story line though.

Not your style to shoot. The King would just have a hard time moving around a while after the beat down you would give him.:biggrin_25523:

Update on George: He drove his 2nd recovery truck to the Olathe yard Saturday night. He then sat there, sleeping in the truck, overnight and most of the morning. He did drive a lease driver 75 miles from Olathe to recover a truck, as his truck was also in the shop. George's truck still wasn't ready yet, think it was "supposed" to be fixed Tuesday afternoon. With his scheduled home time being this Friday, there isn't enough time to get up to his truck and under a load to have him home in time.

SO. ..He hopped on a bus at 1 am CT heading to Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a 5 am bus change in Dec Moines along with a 4 hour layover. He made it to Cedar Rapids about noon, Tuesday. Of course this mission was to recover yet another truck, a Kenworth 700, picked up a trailer at Desert Moines (or vey.., backtrack!), then headed to Ottumwa, Iowa to get his load, after first dropping the trailer to be washed out. DAD for the load is 8 am CT Wednesday morning. He was only able to get 3 hours sleep before his grandiose bus journey, so he parked his tractor on the property after dropping the trailer to catch some major zzzzzz's. His load delivers at Zebulon, NC Friday at 11 am ET...,, then hometime/vacation....southbound and down Florida bound (both of us but in a car thank you!)!!!!!:wav:
