Are truckers the biggest problem on Vail Pass, Interstate 70 corridor?

The problem is the idiots not moving out of the left lane to let traffic go on...

The problem is the idiot rich people who think they can drive 90mph around the curves in thier Cadillac Escalade , crashing and shutting down the road..

This lady is living in a fantasy land and trolling for votes, even admits it. The very idea that she would try to regulate truck traffic during "peak" times. Tells me she has given no thought at all, as to where this truck traffic is going to park at.

I wonder if she is going to invite us to park on her city streets?

 

The monorail idea has been around since 1974. Agreed, too many cars and suv's charging up and down the mtns. does create a serious safety hazard. Ask the two truckers that were hit and killed the past two years taking chains off. Our tougher chain laws were designed for the smart-##*** that refuse to chain up, think they are too good for chains. However, the other side, no chain law up, an accident happens, and guess who can't get rolling. Thankfully, the implemention of tolls at the tunnel died a month ago.
This winter was the worst I've seen in years in the high country. I've never seen 70 closed so often for long stretches of time. Is it trucks? I don't believe it. It's all a series of problems that occur at or about the same time to totally mess things up for everyone.
Just truck safe, have patience, and be careful.
