Maybe one of those driver facing cameras would have prevented it, or maybe a extra 30 min break.

Geez. You're usually the sarcastic one of the bunch. Don't blame you for getting fired up, I've thought the same myself.

It amazes me though... The people who work with the drivers (I don't mean the shipping window people... That bunch has their panties in a wad often.) or at least the places I've been to, get it and like drivers. Not that we make the greatest name for ourselves but I have to wonder what would happen if people would take a moment and learn about the individuals versus the whole. ...it's a pipe dream though, most don't give a rats ### for their next door neighbor; much less the killer rich delivery person that we get made out to be. It's amazing how many of my former customers who knew me before I became a driver shy away when they learn my new profession. It's easy enough to show them that I don't fit the stereotype many have and explain that most drivers don't... But it's hard when they hardly know you.

One thing is for sure... Unless we do start to band together and show people that we aren't that image... The only change that'll happen will be the best drivers leaving.

I think that's an old picture,
Reminds me of the Crete "on the road to success, there are no shortcuts" trailer that sat at a repair shop in Owensboro, KY with a damaged roof.
If you go west on Hwy 60 thru town, you'll hit a low bridge, have to take the bypass around and drive about 2 extra miles.

Oh my god! You mean I have to drive out of my way for some silly bridge? Geez... That'll take a whole 5 minutes! I'll run out of time in my governed truck with elogs!

I think I'll take my chances with the bridge. The dot is so unforgiving, ridged, and will take the roof from over my head!

    ...oh. Wait.

    Numb Thanks this.

Big company but they got a stupid driver who didn't notice the 10-6 sign under the train bridge. elog and speed limiters made everybody more stupid.

If you take US11 Business in Lexington, VA past the VMI, you, too, can hit a 10'-6" bridge.

Must be in New York somewhere. it's like they threw up a sign to finish the job even if it isn't close to reality.
