Obtaining exact dates on previous work history

Put down the month and year,,if they want the day use the 10th of the month

If asked, mention that you don't recall the exact dates

 

I was unaware that SS charges money for our own records. I had a record search done on me, but several years ago, didn't cost a flying penny.

As the others say, try to remember the month and years. '

What I have been doing for God only knows how long, is I keep one of those small pocket note books, the spiral binder type. in reverse order, I jot down employer, start, end, salary reason for leaving, address, ph numbers,. done deal.

I then rip out any job past the 10 year point, say year number 11, it gets ripped out, so I only have past 10 years. If any employer wants more, I give them directions to the landfill, they can go dig it up themselves.

 

You need to call Hire Right services which is dac. Order your history report because it has exact dates when hired and left. It's free.

EXACTLY! Good educated guess is all I've ever put. If they ask I'll tell them that's what they have. Never been an issue. Bet if you asked what color shirt they wore 13 tuesdays ago they wouldn't know, but YOUR supposed to know what your start and end date is to a job you had so long ago you don't remember your bosses name. LOL!
