Trans Am Still

My final load with TransAm picks up Tuesday late afternoon at Pergas flooring in Garner NC headed to Lowes DC in Mt. Vernon TX. Then collect my belongings from my original truck. Gonna have to leave the microwaves behind. Don't think they will get me another load home to unload those, but if they do, I allowed time for it as I don't start my orientation with Cargo Transporters until June 15th. A couple extra days at the house. Could be worse. Deuces.

Good question. I think it's a flat rate. 50 or 75 per day. Again it's a short period. This is a "PAY YOUR DUES" starter company but it is a place to get your experience and move on to a better opportunity. Make no mistake, I have enjoyed my time here, but it's time to get paid. Ask for Jonette in recruiting to answer your training pay question. I actually went to orientation, then hit the road after that as I had six weeks solo experience at a previous gig. Are you a current driver or a student, oldog? Unless that is one of the things that they have changed ....training pay was $50 a day. I believe they also have a tuition reimbursement program. If you are still in school you may want to ask about it. .....every little bit helps.

 

I probably shouldn't have been quite so harsh about the comments that were made by the student. It struck me as patronizing and dismissive of the support that we have tried to encourage here. It's pretty easy to skim down through the pages and dig out the information. There also is a search engine available.

We knew what you meant, jungHo ....and that you in no way would ever suggest that a driver put themselves in harm's way. You just gave us a topic of conversation and something to bicker about ......you did notice that Pete tried to stir the pot by saying that he would never willingly give up his cheese!

 

Yea, good ole Pete! Loves his cheese. .. cheezer cheezer, huh?, I figured you guys were just going with it/discussing pros/cons. Just didn't want it to seem that I thought drivers should risk their safety.
