Still trying to think of something good to say. Guess I'll just side with cranky and let it go.

 

You could say TA was/is a stepping stone to better jobs.

Well gee oldog ....I didn't answer you last night because I thought George, gntorres61, would be on soon and answer for himself. George is the only current TransAm driver we have and he will be moving forward within a couple of weeks to another job. I believe he has been with TA for right at a year. The rest of us are the "Ghosts of TransAm Past" .....and between all of us we probably have close to ten years of TransAm experience.

 

Today I met the boy that is crazy about Number Two Daughter. I intensely dislike this boy.....he isn't even smart enough to be afraid.....yet..

Make that, George being the only TransAm driver, 2 days. He is currently in Tennessee, around Memphis, Texas bound with his load of flooring (due Thursday) and will turn in the truck he's currently on, then will go to his truck to gather his belongings. He flies home Friday. He will barely catch his breath before setting out for the new gig. I'll let him fill in the rest of the details later. Happy trails, All!!

 

Anyone been stopped for a random DOT inspection yet? It sure has been quiet on here lately. Y'all don't be shy now; come on and chime in!

HtQ, if you dislike daughter # 2's guy friend so, what is it about him that she likes? I realize that could be a loaded question but certainly don't intend it in any inappropriate way.

 

I think the boy is rude and manipulative and Number Two Daughter has a soft heart. I am trying to give him a chance ....and he is learning not to cross me. He has a bad home life ...to the point of no longer living with his mother. His mother has a substance abuse problem, according to the boy. Do you want to know the really sad part? I did some checking on his mother......she is an OTR truck driver with a major carrier around here.
I think the kids were just left to live alone and raise themselves....hence the disrespectful attitude. The King has not met him yet .....it will not be a good thing when he does, unless I can teach this kid some manners ....with a 2x4.
