    Wats a force majeure?

I don't yet have the dates-I put in that they have to prepay the permit escort and route survey & toll $ to confirm the load. (That's just under half the $)
I also put in that I had to receive that $ a minimum of a week prior to the scheduled delivery date.
I heard they want me for the day of unloading (to have the option to drag their feet) so I offered driver and equipment for up to 8 hours at a daily wait period. Days or fractions thereof will be billed at that same day rate $1000.

Force majeure are events beyond your control. That clause is in most broker contracts.

    Ruthless Thanks this.

Good idea to include tnu terms also. And it might take longer than a week to get route survey and permits

Ah-I did include events beyond the control of the receiver-didn't know that's the term for it thanks.
According to the permit outfit a route survey takes 2 days plus the day you order it. We shall see.

Welp I wrote bids up, met the fellow today buying the pieces to install. Got all the permit apps and filled tem mostly out, just need to look at a couple things on one trailer tomorrow before I send them in. Then setup escorts.
Apparently first load will ship Tuesday into Wednesday, then drop trailer #1. Bobtail back and load trailer #2 and drag that down Wednesday into Thursday. Sit on the unload and screw around there n they will stack my trailers and I'll bring them home. Screws up my other plans. But hopefully this will be a good learning experience in the OS domain. Also hopefully I'll make a little money off it :)

Thanks for all the help gents!

Monday I'll be down running around north jersey. But I can be found anywhere between nj and Boston. I can usually spot a 359 a ways off, hopefully I'll get to see that sweet iron you're rocking.

Good, then maybe you can help me. After I get empty, I have to get from Woodstock, CT to Dover, DE. I am thinking I-95 to I-287 (Tappan Zee free NB) to I-295 (Delaware Memorial $25 NB) to I-95 to US RT1.

    1. Is I-95 through Bridgeport better that I-84 through Hartford?
    2. What's the best way to get from I-287 to I-295 (Trenton)?

1 time of day will make a lot of difference. 84 in the afternoon will be worse than 95 southbound esp south of new haven.
2 are you shooting for least tolls or least traffic?

Probably be leaving Woodstock around 16:00

I hate both but I really hate traffic. I suppose the Newburg-Beacon bridge is an option too. Adds 10-20 miles but if it saves some traffic........
