I know of a small company that will lease a 2014 Cascadia for $650.00 a week, it has a DD15 10 sp. 196,000 miles and has a APU. Never really checked out leases but that sounds like a lot of money for that year. I think you could do a New Tractor right off the lot for that much. Scan0009.jpg

$650.00 is nothing comparing to other companies. like prime out springfield, Mo
SNI out Green bay, WI. you paying about or over $1000 a week.

I guess I'm out of touch, I remember when all this leasing started years ago that $1,000 a month was to much.

That was before.. but a $1000 is only for one week now or more. i know drivers with prime paying $1300-1500 a week.

    rocknroll81 Thanks this.

    DO NOT BE MISLED.

$650 a week, +$.20/mile for tires and maintenance,+$75-150/week for APU, + direct deposit fees, + fuel card fees, plus insurance. You're looking at a grand a week. A brand new truck, fresh off the dealership floor, owner operator specs, will cost half that. And it will be a monthly payment, not that weekly stuff that snowballs as soon as you go to the house or have a slow week.

I found out that the trainers get charged for the trainees. Had one Prime driver tell me recently that he has to pay the student's salary. I asked how much and he told me $700 a week, knocking his total weekly expenses to $1900/week. Can you add fast?

Yikes!!! Used to be that having a trainee was like bonus money for the extra miles. Now they have these fleeces paying the trainees????? How do they get people to sign up for this stuff? I am in the wrong business.... ....wait a minute.... I have something Prime lacks - integrity. I couldn't shave in the morning if that's how I made my money....

1900.00 a week expense is nothing, you can eat 2000.00 in fuel. So if his expenses are 1900.00 and 700.00 is trainee pay he must be getting g 40 mpg.
