How's Crete Carrier These Days?

If an individual applicant goes to CCC as slim and trim as possible, little to no body fat, including a neck size that has been reduced, will the individual applicant still be required to take a sleep apnea test?

 

Doubtful...my understanding is that if your neck is less than 19 and BMI is less than 35 they do not test you.

 

If I got down to 200 lbs, which would be rail thin, I would still have a 19 inch neck. The whole thing is just stupid.

 

If you have a fresh DOT physical would Crete accept it or make you get another one? Also how picky are they on work history?

 

How picky on work, I am not sure, you might have to talk to a recruiter for that...but you will have to do a new physical with their doctor, but they pay for it.

 

Crete has a company quack who has devised a bogus sleep apnea screening protocol and, after you fail, Crete sells you a CPAP machine.

Is that about right?

 

What is even more stupid is that there is no regulation that requires a sleep study based solely on BMI and neck size. BMI and neck size alone is not a proper sleep apnea screening.
