and now this which says MORE about bonus pay's for driver-trainers (l/o's) at Prime.

    http://www.primeinc.com/Websites/primeinc2/images/Prime_DriverReferralProgram_Broch.pdf

    B. In order for you to be eligible for a free truck for one year, or for one calendar quarter or payments
applied to your current lease, 75% of the new associates that you receive a referral credit from must
qualify as a solo or lead seat driver when they start

So whatever you do, DO NOT DENY that Prime trainers that are L/O's DO NOT GET BONUSES.......ABOVE the ordinary company driver referring someone..>!!!

Robert Low ( Ownner of PRIME INC ) must really sleep well at night with no worries whatsoever as it seems a big% of the rest of the people in NORTH AMERICA ( the majority of them being the ones who do not even work there ) are constantly worrying about PRIME INC and how they operate and do things

I'm sorry, I thought the argument was that lease operators got a larger bonus, or were otherwise encouraged to push a student into a lease.

    I guess I misunderstood.

I haven't seen anywhere that implies a BIGGER bonus for referring a a student to sign a lease.

The miles the new recruit drives when he/she gets their own truck, over and on top of the referral bonus. In the description, Prime calls it "incentives". The l/o gets up to a years free payments? ( a free truck for a year). I believe it says? It does NOT mention that for a company driver, once he/she refers a new driver. So in fact, l/o's get MORE of a bonus set up. Prime just doesn't word it like everyone seems to want to read it as.

So now, a regular driver-trainer for Prime, WOULD NOT get up to a year worth of a free truck payments now would he?

So as anyone can plainly see, there ARE INCENTIVES for a Prime l/o to do training, over an ordinary trainer in a company truck. It's all there in their website.

I understand that. But where does it say the referral has to sign a lease? Those bonuses are available if the referral signs on as a company driver or signs a lease.

I agree with that, a l/o gets a better referral bonus. But, it dosent matter to the l/o if the referee leases a truck or drives company.

Why do you think it should?

G.Anthony, you're just not following. I don't think even you know what you're talking about anymore. This thread was about if L/O trainers are incentivized for getting a student to lease. They're not. Now you're talking about referral bonuses for getting new drivers to the company. Completely unrelated. Everyone who knows how these things actually work at Prime is probably exhausted from trying to explain it to you.

If you have a l/o training you are more likely to talk up the co. Vs talking #### like a pissed off co. Driver. So to get more l/o's to train they give them a kick back. Makes sense to me. A l/o talking about being a l/o and trying to make money is a potentionaly better trainer and face than a co driver thats just there for a check..

Thought I would refresh everyones memory on the question asked...
So far, there has been no indication that one would get a larger bonus if a referred driver signs a lease, or signs on as a company drive.

Yes, a l/o may well get a bigger referal bonus than a company driver, but that is the case regardless of the referral signing a lease or not signng a lease.
