There is MORE incentive for the l/o to push someone into a lease deal, as his bonus/incentives add up more.
Thank you, for saying "kick back" something I should have said.

Just like many lease deals the company gets a kick back from the finance company for sending them more rubes to sign on the dotted line.

I agree there apears to be no "get a lease signed" bonus.

You know what's good for an L/O? Having your truck run as a team operation and only having to pay the student/co-driver $700 per week.

They make plenty of money based on this model. No illuminati-like secret bonuses.

On the flip-side, company side drivers do better financially as PSD instructors than L/Os do.

You have COMPLETELY mis-interpreted what streetbeater said.

I agree wit what streetbeater said, but you twisted it into something completely different.

It's no secret Prime and most other larger carriers who are heavy on the L/o side Aggressively push drivers to do the "rent-a-job" lease system any opportunity they can. We hear this all the time in these forums. You can't tell me there is not some additional bonus system for l/o "referrals" (if you can call it a referral). Wether it's a trainer or full time recruiter, the incentive is still there. That's the way the game works. And it's a game, make no mistake.

It makes sense a trainer in the lease program might do better then a non-trainer solo, but it's unethical to push a new kid into a business they know nothing about.

    G.Anthony Thanks this.

Streatbeater is just making a case that Prime would rather have l/o train (as opposed to company drivers). So as an incentive to get l/o to train, they get a bigger bonus.

I don't know if that is actually the reason, but at least it isn't a CRAZY idea.

Why would a co driver make out better than a l/o in that situation? (Really asking)

I agree. Companies push drivers to lease. But so far there is nothing in writing to suggest that a l/o trainer gets a bigger bonus if the driver signs a lease.
