Finished my Thursday through Saturday with 1675 miles following orientation. With orientation, should be a $900-950 paycheck. Now taking a 34 in Vero Beach at the TA. Load due Monday at 8am. Good to catchup on some rest. My folks are coming down from Kissimmee to visit with me tomorrow. Sirius radio is hooked up and I am singing to the oldies once again. Pete, I will let you know what kind of engine I have underneath. Sorry for the smart quip. Man, are things everchanging for the better! Deuces.

Well.... 4 batteries later and a new alternator on the APU, and the truck seems to be in fine form. Will be heading out in the am for lovely South Plainfield, NJ and Port Chester, NY.

The queen is busy beating the king until his morale improves!!! lol

Glad the new company is working out for ya George.

When I was stationed there it rained everyday around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I bought my first car in Florida so I guess that makes me a Florida driver.

I'll do a second 34 hour reset in 10 days ... still hit 13,000 miles for the month.

I am in Hammond, LA. I have never been to this part of Louisiana, it is red necky as can be but at least has a Pilot so I can shower. I am hanging out behind the Lowe's home improvement store for "free" wifi and parking but will likely end up buying $100+ worth of stuff in the store that I don't really need.

Not necessarily depends on how you drive. I really don't consider myself a florida driver, but then again I don't do some of the stupid things that I see and give some common courtesy to other drivers

From a recent online article -

Samsung recently put out a new commercial called “The Safety Truck”, highlighting a piece of technology that’ll help automobiles pass big trucks that are holding them up.

As you can see in their YouTube video, a huge screen is placed on the back of the semi trailer which displays the road in front of the truck, as captured by a camera installed on the front of the vehicle.

The technology was created to solve the “problem” of passenger vehicles getting stuck behind slow moving semi trucks on narrow roads, and not being able to see in front of the truck in order to pass it safely.

Obviously, this kind of technology is nothing groundbreaking, it’s just a camera and a screen after all. While it may be a novel idea, it’s hard to imagine any company footing the bill for a new camera system in order to make it easier for cars to pass.

If there was an award for the most unnecessary piece of technology — this might just take the cake.

The King is doing better but still not 100%.....thanks for asking. It has been an exhausting couple of weeks. Men are not the best of patients .....and my patience has been exhausted! :biggrin_25523:
Number Two Daughter is still in love with the snot-nose. I have come to the conclusion that I do not like ANY teenage boys! They are horrible creatures! :biggrin_25513:....:biggrin_2559:

Here is a better way for that. People need to not tailgate. Every vehicle on that video was up the trucks butt. Back off you you would be able to safely see around the truck

I'm doing fine. I drive the green. I got here when George was still here. I read the thread all the time just seldom post. I really don't know why I am hooked on reading this thread though. I was only with TransAm for a quick minute.
