Don't waste your money. The guys who tried stealing my fuel had plenty of tools...if you have it, and they want it, their going to get it one way or another. Maybe they'll open the cap and go in that way. If you have a locking cap or anti-siphon device, they'll disconnect the crossover line or remove the drain plug from the bottom of the tank. If you try to make it too difficult for them, they'll just knock a hole in the tank and get your fuel. Stealing a couple hundred bucks worth of your fuel doesn't bother them...you think they'll be worried about damaging your equipment?
My solution has always been to time my fuel stops so that I burn it up before parking for the night if I'm not going to make it home. If they open my caps and see I'm somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 tank, it isn't worth their time and effort for such a small payoff. They can't steal what I don't have. Then, in the morning, I fuel up and roll out.
I bought a pair off ebay a while back. The are genuine KW. I have bought replacement aftermarket caps and they seem to not thread on properly and do a good job of sealing. Yes locking caps are a nuisance. The jackoff trying to steal fuel is looking for an easy score. I believe they won't hang around if they encounter a locking cap.
