Trans Am Still

Well ....we are very entertaining!
I am glad that you are doing well. You are welcome here anytime. I remember when you were with TransAm, Evomalo ......and I remember that you acted with responsibility and integrity. You felt as if the training wasn't enough and rather than take a chance you quit to find better training.

 

Totally agree, SRQGhost. As the article said, it should get an award for useless technology. They keep coming up with expensive technology in an effort to solve a general lack of common sense in people. It is never going to happen and never going to work.
Yet, we don't seem to spend any time on the most simple of solutions. After getting caught in a gully washer of a storm last night on a pitch black highway with worn out striping, all I could think of is why don't they re-stripe these roads.....and why don't they use the "glow in the dark" paint that some other countries are using? ......My guess is that someone doesn't make enough money off of something as simple as paint.

 

I've followed this thread for years, and have never drove a TA truck.

 

The question is ....is it because of our wonderful personalities, kindness and good old-fashioned common sense in helping one another.....or is it because we are all nuts and you fit right in with the rest of the asylum?

I drove for TransAm back in 2006 and 2007. I wonder if anyone is still working for them that I would remember. Lol I loved my dispatcher Joe and loved my overall experience with them. I'm no longer a trucker and am now a senior in college.

 

My guess would be that many of those that you knew are gone, zyk285. We don't even have any current drivers left here. My husband had a couple of dispatchers that were great when he was there also. They had some good people there at one time.
Why did you decide to leave TransAm ....and leave driving?

 

Zyk, I had Tessa Mullins out of Rockwall. I left TA for another company. Greener pastures.

 

I was thinking the same thing, though for some of us I think it maybe a little more towards the nuts side.

 

I too follow this thread even though I've never worked for TransAm. I originally followed because I was at one point considering driving for TransAm. I stayed, though, because I love that you guys post weather and other important things that affect all truckers.

That, and the community here is very... Unique...
