This incident reminded me of a statistic I saw years ago, don't know how much water it still holds, but food for thought non the less.

Over 50% of accidents occurring on the interstate, occur entering and exiting toll plazas. Just tuck that away and remember it when barreling up to a toll booth.

You have to slow down anyway because there's always some tool stopping in the EZ Pass lane.

I know, right? She had several lanes to choose from, HUGE signs above the tollbooth indicating which tollbooth to use for EasyPass or cash, wth?
I thought she might have been looking for the money but it said she was in the EZ Pass lane, wth?
I do remember how nervous I was going thru my 1st tollbooths so I just idled up to the booth nice & slow.
When I know I will be using a toll road I get the money out & putt it somewhere handy before I even leave the dock. If possible I'd get exact change ready if I know the toll, but then I'm perfect.... NOT!! ie WV Tpk was $4 at each booth in my day. How much is it now?
I feel for drivers still driving, you know after all these wrecks the DOT is going to come down hard on us. Looks like I got off the road just in time. From what I read here I woudnt go back otr for anything.....well maybe for $8 pm or $25 an hour, hey you gotta pay for quality..right?

I rest my case for no toll roads if there was no tolls this would not have happen. Truckdriver not at fault WV Turnpike is to blame for trying to rip people off.
