Good luck with that, cranky Cranky.;) I've never smoked before, but I've observed some friends who do as they've tried to quit. Seems quite difficult. Not sure how a few random people have stopped cold turkey. As to breathing, I feel you on that. Having allergies and recently they've been kicking my butt, it's no fun being short of breath!

Yes, I agree. There are a multitude of new regulations in the works that will do nothing to increase safety or ensure fair treatment of the driver. They have been written by someone sitting at a desk, listening to lobbyists and looking at data that is questionable. They have never been in a truck .....and probably don't even drive themselves to work anymore.
I don't know what we can do about some of it at this point in time, but we need to be aware of what is happening and the possibilities.

Yeah, I am fine, thanks! I have not been online, in the middle of running 2,400 miles in 3.5 days with super tight delivery and pick up times.

It would be one in a billion but I almost wonder if that driver was struck by a stray hunter's or target practice bullet. I mean because it did not break his scull, seems like it might have been fired very far away.

Me and my goofy friends. as teens, used to fire guns out in the woods just to shoot. Sometimes just up in the air, what goes up, must come down. Just a thought.

It is a possibility. I have been looking for an update daily to see what exactly happened. They have still not disclosed the driver's condition and they are still actively searching for the shooter. So I am not sure and until they are positive about it I prefer to err on the side of caution.
One of Number One Daughter's classmates died as a result of a shooting accident last year. Three teenage boys out in the woods just having fun.....it happens.

You guys were right .....someone came forward and said it was an accident. Thank goodness! I am glad the person was honest enough to come forward ....and that it wasn't some sick evil person.

    • MASSILLONInvestigators believe a truck driver was struck in the head with a stray bullet Monday afternoon in his truck at the loading dock at Sterilite Corp.“I do not believe this was intentional,” said Massillon Police Detective David McConnell. “It’s still under investigation for confirmation. At this point in time, it does appear to be an accident. This is not a malicious act.”The small-caliber bullet was removed from the man’s head Monday evening and he remained in Aultman Hospital on Wednesday, McConnell said.Police combed the area for clues after the 3 p.m. incident at 4495 Sterilite St. SE.The shot was fired from outside the city in a wooded area in Perry Township, McConnell said. Sterilite Corp. cannot be seen from where it is believed the shot originated. Someone came forward and weapons are being tested, McConnell said. No one has been arrested or charged.
