Trans Am Still

^OMG, I feel old when I am on the same page as Cranky. My first mobile phone was a bag phone, given to me by my work. State of the art technology at the time and there was no one on the mobile system to call!

 

^ ^ cute limerick, CY! Done with cooking for now.....healthy too: black beans & rice & chicken; made 2 batches froze 3 containers and had some for lunch. Yummy! Additional containers to go are mac-n-cheese w/kielbasa; and pork and veggies. One more entrée and George will be all set for his 10 or so days out.

 

Bag phones ruled! When I sailed we just had the sat phone in the pilot house...dang bag phones had like 20 minutes a month you could talk on em for like 200 bucks. Uphill. Seven miles. In the snow. And the chicks all had beards.

 

I think there are two videos in existence of me at matches or testings.....a few teaching videos, maybe. I never let the King or the girls go to a match or testing that I participated in....only the ones I judged. The testings can run 8 hours, beginning with written tests, then all of your forms, sparring matches.....you may have half a dozen fights to battle through, then you get to stand in the middle of a group while everyone around you has a number. The judges will call out numbers and those people will attack you.....no rules. I am short ....as you ALL have pointed out....I have been grabbed by my hair, picked up, thrown over someone's shoulder, had my fingernails ripped off....fun times! The trick is to be the last one standing .....I like it when there are no rules .....I fight dirty .....and I like being short, it has it's advantages. I never knew if it would make the King want to rescue me or cringe if he saw me fight so I never let him watch! At the very end of all of that you do all of your breaks, boards or blocks.....miss one break and your scores are cut 50%.....it is done that way on purpose so that you are exhausted. Two breaks using your hands, two breaks using your feet, and two in mid air. .....Those were the days!

 

We will not discuss age, Sir Passport! I figure it was all over when I knew who Eddie Haskell was!

Evidently my "mean face" is working! .....for now. One of them told Number Two Daughter that he could not see her anymore because I just didn't trust him ..........Wow! I didn't think he was smart enough to pick up on that fact!
