I hope that doesn't happen. Right now I have about a perfect situation here. I won't work for another big company again. It is a family run business, and I don't see them letting it go. Then again if someone offers the right deal then anything is possible.

I'm not looking for a job an I hope I don't have to but if I was I think SEC would be my first choice. Especially if they'd let me run out west.
Air Breeze Thanks this. -
They still have plenty of freight going out west. They asked me if I wanted to do their dedicated account so that's what I've been doing the last three weeks. It's easy money to me. I'm going home for the holiday weekend now. When I come back next week If they want me to keep doing it I will.

The biggest problem with the wingman system is the presence of Prime trucks on the highway....
everytime it senses a prime truck in front of you it slows down to match its speed and you never get anywhere.... -

It was the guy who does orientation that told me that. He probably told me that so I wouldn't think they might not have enough freight to haul. They are still hauling freight out of Goodmans in Houston as far as I know. I've been on a dedicated account the last few weeks. The local drivers would be the ones most affected if the plant in Fayetteville shuts down.

I'm home for the Holiday weekend, a lot of nasty traffic heading home. My dispatcher called me awhile ago and told me they have to send my truck back to the dealership again to get the bunk AC unit fixed again. I hope they just put a new one in. I'm pretty sure it's still under warranty. The good news is they can't take it to the dealership until Monday. He told me I can just take the extra time off if I want to, or they will give me another truck to run in until mine is fixed. He said call him on Monday and let them know what I want to do. I tell ya, I love working.for this company. They take very good care of me.
drvrtech77 and Arkansas Thank this. -
Finishing orientation today so far the folks here are really nice. The trucks are pretty nice too as far as the layout and condition go, hopefully this will be my home for quiet awhile. I know a lot of that depends on me as much as it does them but they seem very up front and honest and really make an effort to do the right thing. We shall see

Good luck in your new job. If you ever have a problem just let them know. They are very willing
to accommodate their drivers requests to keep you driving for them.Buzz1966 Thanks this.
