and in oklahoma the law is to merge before the lane ends. They even put up signs that people ignore that you must merge before the lane ends....
Anytime you condense lanes down, it will cause a back up... I always just idle along, letting the backup slink away, and then I catch it, then it slinks away, so much less stress. so long as people have the me first and only attitude, it will never change.
Let's try something new.

This made me recall stop and go traffic in California a long time ago. I had unloaded at Moorspark north of LA. After unloading I used their phone calling in. They gave me a load at Riverside, CA.
This was a winter time trip that within 30 miles after leaving out I hit solid ice, and ran on ice for about 400 to 475 miles, very slow going, and I did not get to Moorspark until about 2:00 PM in the afternoon.
And here I was knowing I would hit afternoon traffic stop and go traffic and I did. But first the place at Riverside said if I hurry up and get there I would quickly get loaded.
About half-way there I hit the traffic, stop and go, with more setting stop than going. And I was thinking about them saying, “If you get here quickly we can load you quickly.”
The last half of that trip seemed to take forever with me thinking I will not get loaded quickly, that was very bad punishment on my brain and body while being in stopped traffic more than slow going traffic.
Yet when I got Riverside produce house there was only one dock open and I thought this is a very bad sign. When I went in they told me to back in that empty dock. I don’t know what was going on and I was extremely surprised. For they loaded me very quickly with produce while the other trucks set there with the drivers looking at me as if they wanted to murder me.
Sometimes it works out good when you think its going to be bad, but not very often. -
Yep they spent 10's of thousands maybe 100's of thousands of our tax dollars advertising it. Nothing has changed.blairandgretchen Thanks this.

Yet they cant figure out how to manage and ticket the texting mass's.
77smartin and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
And them god #### metered ramps MN spent many millions of dollars on. Let's see.... We can't get anyone to get on the freeway at speed and merge the way it is so lets give them a red light right at the bottom.
Flipping clowns.Last edited: Jul 1, 2015

Yeah them metered ramps are a bigger pain in ### than any normal merging traffic.

I really thought they were going to go away. I suppose they cannot admit defeat and give them up.NavigatorWife Thanks this.

Lol I have noticed a lot of them covered up or just never on in many cities.
I ran the first one I ever seen was watching the idiots just slow way down and try to not hit them and watch for my opening I just blew right though it before I realized it was thereNavigatorWife and misterG Thank this. -
I was in that Lafayette mess yesterday morning. To make the normal situation worse, there was a wreck that blocked the open lane right before the construction zone.
It's not just people not knowing how to merge, but these idiots don't know how to slow down. Everyone thinks the speed limit is whatever speed they feel like doing.NavigatorWife and tsavory Thank this.
