Hello Guys,
I've been driving for 3 years, and I've drove FL and VLV. But now consider buying my own.
Out of this list can you guys a suggestion.
KW, PB, FL, INTL, or maybe Volvo.
For those who are experts! Advise about Engines as well.
Thanks

You looking for a cool ride or a fuel saver? What will you be haulin
-
A cool ride, I'll be doing a DryVan
-
The make/model doesn't matter
what does is the drivetrain, how it is going to be used and the service you may need for it in the future.
AND more importantly what matters more is how you buy it, a dyno, oil analysis, ECM dump and so on are all part of your Due Diligence in finding a good truck.Grijon Thanks this. -
Its like asking what car should I buy, Mercedes, Bmw, Lexus, Acura or Cadillac
-
Pete 579 with LNG. That way you no longer have to be concerned with emissions or EGR problems, nor do you have to spend extra money buying DEF. Additionally, the cost per DGE (unit of measure rated as diesel-to-gas equivalent) will remain consistent as opposed to the traditional fluctuation of diesel.
-
88, how readily available is LNG? Remember (or be advised) that I'm a complete noob to this business! Like the OP, just lookin' at my options also!
-
i havent seen many LNG/CNG places for big rigs. if your local(or can get to home area ever few days) it would prob be worth it

Okey dokey, so you want a cool ride and don't care about fuel mileage. Get yourself a pre-2003 Pete 379 flat top sleeper with the highest horsepower 6NZ Cat engine you can find, hose it down with about $60K worth of chrome, lights, hardwood floors, etc, stretch it out to around 300" wheelbase, retrofit it back to an old style twin stick transmission, and spend the time between when you buy it and when you go bankrupt cursing the day you were born because your truck only gets around 5mpg, you have just enough living space to sleep at night but not enough to stop yourself from going crazy, you just can't get the hang of that really cool looking twin stick, and trying to figure out how to get around in cities without bashing the crap out of the sides of the trailer or running over stop signs and mailboxes because you're too long to make corners. But it'll look cool while you're doing it.
Or, since you said nothing about cost, go down to your Western Star dealer, and order up a 2016 4900 EX LowMax with every possible option. It'll only cost about $210K. But it'll look cool.
The real question you should be asking is what kind of specs you should be looking for that will put the most $$ in your pocket. A chromed out show truck doesn't earn any more money than your average Joe's 10 year old Columbia, but it does cost a lot more to get, and you will want to kill yourself every time you pick up a rock chip or tiny dent.Grijon, GasHauler, dog-c and 1 other person Thank this. -
Oh, and make sure you drag that huge chrome bumper while backing and deform it too!
