    Ok, so after having a very high pitch squeiling noise and vocal feedback from the am/fm radio when I key up and talk for the past 2 months. I figured out the problem, its my mic.
    I was on a Jeep forum that Im a member of and a guy had the same problem. So I went out to my Beretta, took the mic off the Midland, and put it on the Uniden in the truck, no feedback. Put the old Uniden mic on the Midland, I have noise in the car too. So I have determined its the mic.

    I will be getting a Noise Canceling, but there are so many out there Im unsure of one to get. I would like to keep it under $65-70.

    Here are a few I am looking at;

    The one I like best;

    Thanks for the help!

    I used Astatic mics on all my CBs when I was OTR. Good mics.

    Another vote for Astatic, although I couldn't use the Road King model on my Connex. Even with the power mic cut all the way back, and my radio mic gain less than half, I still had distortion. Swapped it for the Astatic noise cancelling #633 (I think that's the model #). VERY satisfied with that model.

    Roadking RK-56 is the best mic in my opinion... Astatic makes a decent Mic as well but stay away from the "POWER MIC"... If you want a great sounding radio power mics will not do the job.. Power mics are guys who have week radios and want to sound like a big radio.. the problem is they usually sound like crap in trying to do so...

    I have used a road king 56 for about 6 years and have no complaints at all. I do have a power mike in my yukon at home for momma to use but she has a soft voice and even with the mic gain turned up people had a hard time hearing her

    I may be a little late but I have the 636 like you showed but black wiht the stainless cord. Great mic good sound and has a good feel. I had the red devil but the cb shops don't recommend power mics so I went with the 636.
