So i got my trainer. OTR owner operator. Got picked up last monday from allentown. Thursday he dropped me off in nowhere TN. Center of town is 3 miles away. No uber, taxi, lyft. Walked close to 30 miles now. He was supposed to come get me today. It's now 6 pm central time and he still hasn't gotten a dispatched load. Jeesh. If i owned a truck, I'd want it running after sitting for 5 days. Bout ready to request a company driver for the remainder of my training. Be safe
Is freight slow??

Holiday man...this is why you ask to be home on Thursday....cause chances of getting a four day weekend are good.
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
My trainer is from tn. I'm from Boston MA. Hotel in TN for me. I've been here since 9 am Thursday. It's ben over 5 days now.

He can afford the time if he doesn't have a truck payment. He probably gets a weekly amount of money because you are assigned to his truck. Holiday slowed deliveries a little. What company did you go with?

Sucks when your training....you'll love that kinda break when solo.
truckerlife74, TruckDuo, Puppage and 2 others Thank this. -

truckerlife74 and TruckDuo Thank this. -
Yup. No cabs, no busses, no uber, no rideshare. Walked my butt everywhere
TruckDuo Thanks this.
