I talked to a TMC driver yesterday at a Pilot truckstop in Albany ga. He has been with them 9 years. He didn't have an inward facing camera. He basically said that TMC puts the driver facing camera in the truck when they feel like the driver might not be safe or suitable to be operating their equipment. I can tell you have good work ethic and will do the job right. I would be very surprised if they put a camera in your truck.

Thank you ! In fact an outward facing camera would save me some money since I intended to purchase one anyway to protect myself . Can you explain what the term Running Hard means ? I hear that alot in sentences like "You can make money if you run hard " I'm confused other than driving and trying to manage your time effectively according to regulations what else is there to do but drive ? any insight would be helpful -
Both 1 and 2, no they don't tell you that you'll get one, my truck just happened to have one in it from the previous driver.

Running hard means making the hard decision to stay out and chase the money. Money loads are ones that pay over and beyond what a home time load would. You'll find on trucking with most large companies, loads that are next day deliveries tend to be cheap sub $800 runs but multiple day runs say from Knoxville Tennessee to Laredo Texas will usually go for more than $1000. It also depends on the age of the customer with tmc. If it's a fairly new or seldom used customer the price teems to be slightly higher, where if it's a long time customer they tend to give a discount for longevityTom Cat Thanks this.

just remember my last comment was subjective. TMC is all what you make of it. If your willing to work hard, youll make money

Now that's the confusing part for me define work hard
I understand the run hard now that you explained it but how can you work harder than driving all day and doing the job required ? Please excuse my ignorance but I haven't reached rookie status yet -
When you learn your rhythm and learn how to work your clocks right, and get the tarping and securement down. 4-5 months or longer if your having trouble. When all that comes together and your working efficient, thats the hard work.
Tom Cat Thanks this. -
You will get pissed off, you will get tired of the BS, youll get fed up where you want to quit. But that is what seperates a good rookie driver from just another rookie. IF you stick it out, learn from your mistakes, one day things just start clicking, your body stops hurting, your joints wont ache as much. Just stick it out.
Lonesome, Tom Cat and adjust fire Thank this. -
The learning curve, Got it now , thanks for the clarification , Are companies is a bit tolerant during that phase with mistakes ? Actually the physical part is what's attracting me to flat bedding..
