you sure got in early. I got in around 1500 today and that's way early for me too. worst week of the year so far only 2550. not a good start to next week either only planned on an out and back to Knoxville 488 miles round trip. sure will be glad when summer winds down and things start picking back up.
there was a woman who looked to be in some management capacity counting trailers over at that new drop yard in tampa as me and one other guy were getting ready to start our day. she didn't have a very happy look on her face as she was counting all the trailers stuffed in there lol. not sure I like that location too much. with that roadside gate closed that's a really tight turn around the building coming out. not to mention it's kinda cramped. I think a better option for that run would be drop the loads at the warehouse and pull the empties from the salem yard. that would balance the space between both places. then we both sat 3hrs over at pepsi waiting on the not loaded preloads
will hit one year with the company next week. sure doesn't feel like it's been that long already
yes they run out of the swift yard there
Ashley Furniture? Good company?

Sure wish I was home already! I'm in solway mn loading wood for Whitehall. Thinking I don't even have enough on my 70 to make Arcadia. Good thing I live between here and there. Should have enough time to make home tomorrow.
flyingmusician Thanks this. -
last time I ran up to solway they didn't stack that one bundle in the center like they are supposed to and I ended up waayyyyy heavy on the back and had to stretch it out all the way to get an even 34,000 on the trailer. that's the only time I've ever had exactly 34k on the back stretched all the way to the rear. that was a heavy load.

He He------- ya I did 3050 in 5 days, and 5 drop and hook fee's, they had called me out early for a Sunday depart with a Pepsi run, instead of a Monday, they had a jam up on the Pepsi runs last Friday, to many Pepsi runs, and not enough drivers in there on Friday of last week, everything worked well for a change, its been a time since that has happened---Got in Thursday night, about 2030, and my clock for the week only had about 5.5 hrs remaining--nice for a change, back out on Monday. Squeezed out a 3 day weekend, and had a good normal week for a change.
That women was from the office right there Salem-lease I bet ya---it seems that there is more trailers there than Ashley told them, I bet ya, they did not include the loaded trailers there for the next days runs, or the roll over to Monday runs, so that equals 5 extra trailers that they did not plan for-they also have said there that they have 2 more trucking Company's coming in to park there- so if that happens its going to be tight--. We are only supposed to park up against the fence, and down to the pole light, as you can see there a few more trailers there----LOL
I don't want to back to the Brandon yard at all cost------Like it there way more----
You must have been there with Wendell from Tampa PTP-- -
I think it was another advance guy. Don't know his name we just were chatting on the radio. We chased each other from Tampa to Columbia to laid city to ecru then I lost him but I stayed about 15 minutes ahead of him until Thursday lol

I stayed at that dump at the 30 in Winfield Thursday night on the way to ecru. Knew I had an 87 mile #### run for a live to OLI in Memphis and they get in no hurry so I'd need that extra 35 from jasper to there the next day.....and I wasn't disappointed was there 4 hrs before they even went in the truck the first time.......anyway
rolled into Winfield with 4 minutes left and got a spot in the front. woke up the next morning and all of the lug nut caps on my left steer were gone. not just one or two but all ####ing 10 of them. really? that takes a special kind of stupid who is too dumb to know how brave he is to steal 10 lug caps off a truck parked in the front row in plain view. -
Whats oneshot up to. I cant say i wish i stayed with ashley but i miss it a little. Walmart is working out good money wise but its a long way to the top of the board. Just got a 5/2 5/3 position so ill have weekend hometime every couple weeks instead of 15 years from now.

Every time I go to solway I just get a single layer on the floor. Usually 77500 gross
You guys out of Advance? -
yeah I'm out of advance.
trip instructions when I went to solway was for 14 bundles one had to be stacked in the middle. usual load is 13 bundles. if they'd loaded 13 or stacked the one in the middle with 14 I'd have been good at legal length. but at 41' I was well over 36k on the tail. they loaded it to the doors on a 53. was 79,880 gross -
Wow good for you, my brother in Maine, went to the 5-2, made more money--but he liked the home time more on the 6-3, so he went back to it, on the 5-2 you can make very good money, glad to hear its going good for ya.
