He's not making this up, had an opportunity years ago to attend the NCHP Academy class on Radar (MP, had to be certified to cite and present ticket to Federal Magistrate} The instructor would block off speed and by the mark 1 mod 1 eyeball, you had to be within 5mph or less to pass. That's with the cosine factor of a curve.
