When I worked at Swift I always wondered about the pictures of drivers on the wall of the terminals honoring their 20, 30 years of service. I thought to myself, how does something like that happen? You've given me valuable insight into that question. These drivers simply couldn't fit all their stuff in a greyhound bus so they just stayed.

I make sure everything I want fits in an Army duffle bag...The rest I'll replace @ the next job...I figureI'll make life easier for the next driver by leaving him some tools, gloves, and a CB...I might even be making HIS job better by quitting.
Astoh Thanks this. -
Box it up, mail it home. Done and done.

Honestly i see reynolds nationwide trucks busy running milk all over
-
Dont know how well they pay though

It's milk. Can't be that good.

I have a duffle bag, but I have a lot of stuff and it all won't fit in it
when I was fired from Central I did this, they had to break all sorts of company policies to let me do that though. they let met drive the company van to Walmart to get a few tubs and let me FedEx them home. they were also nice enough to buy me a bus ticket (for some reason, i'm still puzzled about that)
but still. in order to do that i'll have to get to the post office..how?
then i'll have to mail them/fed-ex them..how? I don't have that kind of money
then I have to get to the bus station? how? how am I going to get there? -
If you don't have enough money to mail your stuff home and grab a taxi to the bus stop its time for a new job.
I run dry van (the lowest paid segment of trucking) and with one paycheck I could buy a cheap beater car on Craigslist and drive my crap homeWharf Rat and BullJockey Thank this.
