It is on the low end compared to some other companies. The rate is a flat $20 per tarped load. If the load requires tarps, MOST of the time it is pre-tarped, you just have to secure it.

I have had to physically tarp two loads myself, the rest are already set up as a pre-tarp. If I had to guess 70% of the loads require a tarp. The hardest part is folding the things up.

In other news, my truck got two new steer tires yesterday. They weren't completely unserviceable yet, but close. I have cleared 20k driven miles and it hasn't been a full two months yet.

I still don't have any complaints with this company, and truthfully I can't find a reason to complain. I guess if I had to, it would be the pay scale, but I stay busy so my checks are still decent. I cleared $700 yesterday for the load from Baton Rouge to PA, reset, PA to KY. I also received a $125 detention pay because it took 4 hours to find a load for me after my reset.

Needless to say, I try to reset on the weekends so I can run all week.

Those are some good miles for the time though. And 20 bucks to take the tarp off and stow it most of the time, is almost giving the 20 bucks away! Not bad. Do you still have the choice of paper or elogs?

Yes it is a choice of paper or electronic logs.

I reset every week because I afforded the days off, so why not?

I was broke in the beginning.... It's all about how you save it.

I understand that outlook, most of our deliveries are a Monday thru Friday setup. So sitting over the weekend isn't extremely detrimental to my monetary needs.

Medicine Lodge KS to Ft Smith AR was Mondays delivery (started in Tulsa Monday). 341 miles total.

Deadhead Ft Smith AR to Claremore OK for a load of electricity poles (steel) that went to Edinburg TX today. 907 miles total.

Deadhead from Edinburg to Laredo TX for another load of steel that goes to Kansas City KS by Friday. 1071 miles total.

That will make 2319 miles for the week.

I told you my dispatcher loves me....
