1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

A few years ago I worked for one just for extra money. I slid into a sweet linehaul run with Milan. It was four nights a week I think the longest night was 10 hours. I did that for a few months.

I used to work for a drivers temp service in Portland Oregon, about 13 years ago and gained a lot of experience in different kinds of rigs and hauling different freight. Got some OTR experience also there.. It was good for the break that I was taking from towing...

I kind of miss that stuff at times.

No I didn't screw it up. The guy who the run belonged to came back. I sure was wishing he wouldn't be able to but he was.

    Hi eskimo6804
Can u tell me the name of the temping agencies that are hiring drivers. I need a CDL driver but we are a small company with only two trucks and we are having a tough time to find or hire drivers. We are located in CT. Any info is appreciated.

    Thank you all
    Tom

I worked for Trillium for 3 months. They were super nice folks and did everything they promised. Had a decent run, home everyday 360-430 miles with 3-5 drops. Paid .34/mile plus 7.40 a stop. They lost the account to an outfit that couldn't find their own backside with both hands, a flashlight, and radar. They did offer me another run, but I'd have to commute about 70 miles for 1-2 day foodservice runs. So I moved on.

    The downsides:
    Benefits were sparse and overpriced.
You are always one call away from being out of work. I found out I didn't have a run after Friday on Thursday afternoon.
