Two years after charges were filed a group of people involved a commercial driver’s licensing scheme, five of the 11 defendants have been found guilty. A federal jury returned the convictions against Joachim Pierre, Luc Desmangles, Tanael Daniel, Dale Harper and Beayaeh Kamara last month. The other six defendants avoided trail by pleading guilty. The 11 individuals involved in the scheme functioned in different roles, including security for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, external test takers, facilitators, runners and look-outs. They had created an elaborate network of illegal activity across five test-taking sites. Test takers paid as much as $2,500 for answers to the written CDL exam and escort assistance throughout the testing process. Facilitators provided answers in the form of pencils with tiny test keys printed on the sides, a Bluetooth headset or an external test taker who took the test in place of the applicant. The Office of Inspector General cooperated with the Department of Homeland Security, the New York Police Department, the New York State DMV and the New York State Attorney General’s Office to bust the scheme. Key evidence in the case came from undercover law enforcement officers who posed as CDL applicants seeking to buy the defendants’ services. Shoot bro I had appointments all week set up months ago so I'm suffering at home, grillin out and livin it up yooper style eh? Me and my five year old went hiking today could very well be the greatest day ever. She turned to me high on a hill overlooking Marquette and said 'my goodest days are with you daddy'.

That whole slip-seating thing we discussed before is becoming a real problem. Might be callin your outfit sooner rather than later, see if they'll put a lazy yooper to work ;)

    Be safe my friend.

I am pretty sure this was a bunch that I had done some research on a year or so ago. There were lots of ads out there that said "No English, No Problem". It was a bad deal on many levels.:biggrin_25513:

My dog is doing better. It took some trickery, she hates pills and medicines. I have been wrestling two mastiffs every day....trying to get the meds down her....and him because he thinks I was being mean to her by making her take it. :biggrin_2552:

I did finally figure out what a couple of the buttons were for on the sound system in my car....I guess I have been a country girl for too long!...One little button tells me any traffic alerts in the area, and one little button remembers what kind of music that I like to listen to and automatically tunes into that station when I travel from one area to another. I still haven't figured out what the red laser beam thingy is that lights up on the dash when you first get in the car:biggrin_25526:

How are you doing? Still enjoying the new job?
