Why do truck stops waste money painting lines?

Truckers are easily prone to chaos if left to their own devices. No lines? You can guarantee a complete cluster f_ck in a matter of a few hours

 

The lines just give a guideline of where you need to be.

 

Looks like you can fit more trucks parking straight like in pic. Instead of parking crooked like the lines

 

If this is the worse thing that happens to you today consider yourself lucky.

 

So fly J & Pilot can squeeeeeeeeeze in as many trucks as possible!

 

The OP obviously has no appreciation for "creative parking"!

He best avoid the T/A in Aurora, OR after 1800 every night, except Saturdays.....Saturdays the lot remains wide open till Sunday around 1500.

 

A true test of one's truck navigation, parking, and critical thinking skills comes in January, immediately following a 16 inch snow storm at the Effingham Petro and the 2 miles surrounding it.
