swift "driver support"

I can't believe all the hate that thetruckersreport has for Swift. I say this because i have been on other websites like truckingtruth asking how is Swfit and they tell me that its a good company if your willing to work hard. Been thinking about getting my CDL soon and Swift is my first pick but after reading this thread I am not sure who should I believe

 

It could be from previous experiences from those who have drove for Swift before. I will not comment on whether they are a good company or not now, my experience was in 1990-1991, and I am sure they have changed a lot since then.

 

1) Anyone who tells you Swift is a good company is either joking or needs to be drug tested.
2)If you believe them then you should be drug tested.

 

What company are good then if swift is bad? What would be a good company to get a CDL with?

 

Swift is fine for training, and to get your CDL with, it is just not a company that many experienced drivers will drive for.

 

Try Melton or Prime

 

I hear prime inc is very hard to get into. That they are picky on who they hire that and read other post saying that they get 5,000 applications a week

 

Don't know, I just applied to them myself, but yes, they are good too for training, you might would stay longer there than Swift.

 

As mentioned in various posts on the forum, Prime is both one of the much better training and paying trucking companies for new truck driving recruits starting out, especially for their students.
