My flatbed (spread axel) came with Michelin XTE 16/32, and I thinking install XZA+ 18/32, is a good idea?
Thanks, Walter

Never used them.. I've been having very good life out of BFGoodrich ST230 tires in the 255/70 size on my spread axle step. Not as expensive as the Michelins either. I get them between $360 (Per tire) mounted at home in Fla and Loves sells them at $386 mounted.
I use only Michelin XZA3+ steer tires. So nothing against Michelin,.. good tires in my opinion.

thanks for your opinion. I had Michelin xte(came with trailer spread axle) and I did almost 150 k miles, my average load is 35 k lbs. Yesterday I found Michelin xza3+ by 500 each installed at Chicago. The Michelin XTE with 16/32 at Michelin dealers has by $525 each +installation. Michelin xza3+ has 18/32, I think is good deal.

Michelin owns bfg so either way your doing alright. It's just up to you how much you wanna spend.

Stick with the XTEs on the spread. Those XZAs have that little lip around the edge of the tread that can get torn.
Move the XZAs to the trailer after they've worn down pretty well.
