    Went snowshoeing in subzero temps last winter in Teton National Forest. Pic was taken from the snowmobile trail I used to gain forest access. I went down the trail for a couple miles before turning off trail for a few hours and then back to the truck and to back work. Had about 4ft of snow down. Was a great time.

    The downside of regional/dedicated is these places I don't get to see.

    Southeast has plenty of beautiful areas, but being dedicated means I've little to no down time away from home.

    From Colorado. Know what you mean about the step terrain.
    Going across I-70 exit 218 (close to Eisenhower tunnel) there's a trail head there hermans gulch. Parking on the off ramp. Great hike. And if you take the spilt to the right about 3 miles up you can follow it 5 more miles up to 13,800'. Good chance you'll see some crazy mountain bikers. views are 360* and amazing. To the left at split goes to Herman lake. 12,000'. Just getting to the split is tough.

    SOUTH OF THE BORDER AT DUSK; You can't miss this place on 95 SC/NC border, signs begin about 25miles away. Lights will blind you as you get to their exit. Go park in the truck stop then enjoy your night!
