Each Company/ Location varies with Pay structure and if union or not.
No matter what, It's the "garbage" business. Going to earn your pay, no way around it.

Yes garbage can pay. I work as a residential garbage driver for a Chicagoland area company and pay does top out at 33 an hour (Union). Understand that you work very hard physically for your pay but the job can be a lot of fun as well.
jlembie35 Thanks this. -
I'd work my butt off for 33/hr! What's it like as a new guy at a company like yours??
-
It all depends on how you present yourself and how you work. I am a newbie myself (4 months this week) but I've worked my tail off and my supervisors and coworkers have taken notice. I am treated more like an experienced employee and receive more difficult routes than the other new guys. I also receive a lot more respect from my coworkers. I get a lot of hours because of where I'm generally routed and I treat this as a reward for my work. Even at my starting wage I am making great money. I can only imagine how good the checks will be at top scale.jlembie35 Thanks this.
