I've found that driving in socks is the most comfortable for me. I don't like getting swamp foot from riding all day with boots on. It's been said already but comfort is key.

I drove truck for the farm since I was 15 y/o I always hated warring shoes and socks. I'm always barefoot. I would be told by people all the time that it's wrong and unsafe. One day I met a female trucker who told me what you do in your truck is up to you. No one can stop as long as they don't know about it. My boss always wanted us to be in steel toe boots because of the live stock and other people not paying attention to us. But when on the road as a partner team driver me and the lady I worked alone side of we always drove barefoot. So I guess it's up to you and your company. Or pull off the old military trick don't ask don't tell.

Ive always heard its "unsafe" to drive barefoot. Never could figure out how.

I mainly drive in socks, I have both boots and sneakers on a towel behind the seat and blow off whichever I am wearing on the top step before getting in. Comfort is key but it also helps with keeping the interior clean

You might want to consider changes in that text color and size. Some of us have trouble with that.
Anyhow.
I drove with steel toed square boots on just about every mile. Gone through three pairs too total. Those heels were useful in shifting and also getting into the notch on the hammer to keep it on the floor back in the day where older engines were on the floor all the time.
Anything else is a sign of mental issues and should be viewed as such.
With that said, back in the 60's and 70's time period there was a awful lot of feet pedals and barefoot, but it's not suitable for trucking. It's actually a hazard to where it is not worth the risk. -
I think it is still against the law to drive barefoot in Alabama with a girl under 14.
wingnut105 Thanks this. -
Won’t get me to do it. That what work boots are for.
